Once money is raised from events the funds are banked straight away. It is at our PTFA Committee Meetings that the decisions on how to spend the money are agreed.
Usually, Mrs Anita Rogers and Mrs Fiona Dorey (Head Teachers) will have a ‘shopping list’ of items that the Schools would like to purchase. Sometimes this will be as a result of the children on the School Councils making a ‘wish-list’. In 2017 the PTFA contributed towards the upkeep of the current playpod at the Junior School and also raised money for an outside classroom in the Infant School.
We are currently raising money to help the Infant School re-vamp their library. We are also raising money for the Junior School to add reading benches on the field, build a sand pit and upgrade the pond area.
The PTFA funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. The money we raise is usually spent fairly quickly. That way, you can be sure that in supporting our school, your child or children will feel the benefit, along with everybody else.
