Once money is raised from events the funds are banked straight away. It is at our PTFA Committee Meetings that the decisions on how to spend the money are agreed.
Usually, Mrs Anita Rogers and Mrs Fiona Dorey (Head Teachers) will have a ‘shopping list’ of items that the Schools would like to purchase. Sometimes this will be as a result of the children on the School Councils making a ‘wish-list’. In 2016 the PTFA contributed towards the current playpod at the Junior School and also raised money for Story phones in the Infant School.
We are currently raising money to help improve the outside of the Infant School with a quiet corner and making use of the lego box on the main playground, making use of the old playground area behind nursery and improving the pond just past the nursery near the field. We are also helping to maintain the upkeep of the playpod at the Junior School.
The PTFA funds are for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. The money we raise is usually spent fairly quickly. That way, you can be sure that in supporting our school, your child or children will feel the benefit, along with everybody else.
