Year 3 Trip to Braintree Museum
Year 3 classes visited Braintree Museum for an exciting day learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.
On Tuesday 9th January, Year 3 visited Braintree Museum as part of our project entitled 'How did Early Man Change?', which covers the Stone Age to the Iron Age. The children had three fascinating workshops where they learnt all about archaeology, found out about ancient stone tools and completed a museum trail. They particularly enjoyed knapping their own hand axes out of bars of soap. The children will use what they learnt about museums to help them create their own museums for parents and carers on the 14th of February.
We were impressed by their excellent behaviour and effort, which was even praised by members of staff at the museum.
