On Monday the 3rd of February, the house captains were invited to Causeway House by the Braintree District Cultural Education Partinership to learn more about Democracy.
Year 4 welcome Mr Dickens to Great Bradfords.
Choir at the O2
On Thursday 12th December, Year 4 shared their learning with parents and carers. As part of this project, the children raised money for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) through donations for their tie-dye creations. The children raised £140.32.
Year 4 conducted a litter survey, created emotive banners and wrote persuasive letters and then presented these to members of Braintree District Council on 5th November.

On Friday 13th December, Year 6 held their Climate Change Exhibition during which they showcased their watercolour batik artwork, persuasive speeches and lines from their climate change poetry. Parents and careers came to have a look around as did the rest of the school. All the children did very well and made the Year 6 team very proud.
We couldn't be prouder of the school choir for their incredible performance this evening at Braintree Town Hall for the Chairman’s Christmas event. Their hard work and talent truly shone, filling the stairwell with festive joy and magic!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Walker for leading the choir and giving up their time to make this happen – your dedication is so appreciated. And, of course, a big thank you to all the parents for supporting the event. What a fantastic way to kick off the Christmas season!
On Wednesday the 4th December, we welcomed Laurie Rosenburg to our school for a special assembly all about the special Jewish festival of Hanukkah. The children enjoyed learning about some Jewish traditions and lighting some of the candles on his Hanukkah menorah.
